A pair of English Porcelain “Potpourri” Urns by Derby, 1810

A pair of English Porcelain Potpourri Urns with Lids, and a deep blue colored base and gilded accents. The urns are accentuated with four projecting “Lion’s” heads and bases with “Paw” feet. The Derby Factory began producing porcelain wares as early as 1750 and were well-known for high quality products, many of which were derived from French Sevres Designs. The Urns display the Derby mark with the Crown above two crossed batons, below which is a “D” in red indicating they were made between the years 1806-1825.
