This is a wonderful three pieces sterling silver Art Deco designed dresser set consisting of a hand mirror, brush and matching comb. The style of Deco design is very reminiscent of the Chrysler Building and Rockefeller Center. Central in the design is a pair of very stylized parrots. There are no monograms or engravings on this set.
All pieces are marked the same, "Sterling" and the maker's mark is an "N" inside of a circle. I am not certain, but I believe this to be a variation of a Napier marking.
The Mirror is approximately 14 3/4 inches long and 6 1/4 inches in diameter; the brush, 9 3/4 inches long, 3 7/8 inches in diameter; the comb is 7 3/4 inches long. |
