An excellent early example from the man called the "American Degas," portraying Maricette Cebron, a dancer for the Paris Opera Ballet, who also became a famous teacher there and studied with Isadora Duncan.
Kronberg studied at the Art Students League the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and the Academy Julian Paris. He was a member of the National Academy. He exhibted the PAFA, Paris Salon, Corcoran, Art Institute of Chicago, and won numerous awards. His work can be found at the Boston Museum of Fine Art, the Butler Art Institute, PAFA, Musee D'Orsay, etc.
Provenance: Girt from the artist to Miss May McLaughlin, April 1957. Then by descent in the family.
