| On offer here is a beautiful c. 1920 tea set with tray by acclaimed American Arts and Crafts Silversmith Arthur Stone. The set comes with hot water, coffee, tea, milk and sugar and with ivory finials. The tray measures 27 x 17 at its widest and is quite heavy. The tray and several other pieces were fashioned by Herbert Taylor, the milk and sugar by Herman Glendenning and one piece by Arthur Hartwell. All three were "master craftsmen," Society of Arts and Crafts, and Taylor was also a medalist. It is one of the nicests tea sets we have seen outside of a museum collection. |
